Montezuma Castle National Monument
The Montezuma Castle National Monument is managed by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service.
The "castle" is a cliff dwelling constructed by the Sinagua ("without water") Indians over 600 years ago, and is one of the best preserved examples of how they lived.
This dwelling is well protected from the elements, unlike most other examples which have suffered from wind and water erosion over the centuries.
Visit the American Southwest for more information on Sedona and other sites.
